Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HU.2ADI/1654.2 Message Board Post: Post from 2002: According to the Historical Atlas of Alabama, courtesy of Earl Johnson, Dennard's Bluff P O was on the Alabama River some 12 1/2 miles slightly SW of present day Frisco City. If you have an AL map if was in that area of the river where is makes a curve from it's southward course to the west. Manistee is about 5 1/2 miles just a bit a NW of Frisco City and is listed as a current place. Also, from the Historical Atlas of Alabama, Vol. I, Historical Locations by County {UA, Draig Remington} there was a Dennard PO [map # 118-SW--aka Homewood PO; and a Dennard's Bluff PO [map # 82-SW]. You might also check the University of Alabama Historical Maps, and find Dennard's Bluff. You might check with the Monroe County Heritage Museums in regard to publications they've done in the past about this historical area.
