John Runnels married Jemima Broughton, and they had at least one dtr. Ann B. Nancy who married 17 Apr 1856 Monroe Co Al Theophilus Penny. He probably had at least one son by his 1st marriage to ____ John Runnels who was also in the 1820 Census in Conecuh Co Al-as he was. I am not sure where Jemima married him-but they are said to have taken the old National Road to Al. after stopping for supplies and leaving part of the Broughton Family-her brothers and her sons by first husband-John Cannon.
