    1. Re: [ALMONROE-L] BUTLER STREET, DREADINS, JORDANS, DEANS
    2. Freda Noble
    3. Dear Faye, way last August, I saved your letter below because you wrote about the Dreadin and Jordans. I have been working on the Jordan family that married into my Roberson family and I would like to know if your Jordans are related to mine. Will you please let me know if you see a connection, and if so, how they connect. Thank you very much. Freda 1 Samuel Richard Jordan _______________________________________________ In checking on homestead patents for Monroe County I find that the Jordans were probably the largest landowners in Monroe County in the 1800s--I have been told that 2 of the Jordans married Indian women and one of their ancestors leases my farm in Excel--The only one living in Uncle Issac and Aunt Bertha Lees family now is their son Garey Jordan except of course grandchildren etc. [1] Spouse: Lucrease Leonard Children: John Leonard (1892-) 1.1 John Leonard Jordan _______________________________________________ Birth: 6 Jan 1892 in the 1930 Monroe Co, Jones Mill census, there is an Emmet G. Next door to Emmett G. Hall, there is a John L. Jordan, age 38 and his wife named Georgia T. who is 49 years old. This Georgia T. was married previously to James W. Hall. James W.
