Seeking any information on family or friends (possibly Peter McCollum) of Ezra Hill b 1791 either NY or ME. Married to Olivia Pridgen of Georgia by 1824 and lived in Monroe Co., AL by the time of the 1830 census. Ezra left AL by 1834 because of a bad business deal and migrated to Matamoros, Mexico. Did other Monroe Co., AL men go to Mexico about this same time? Ezra eventually ended up settling in Camden, Ouachita Co., AR by 1840. Did he follow other Monroe Co., AL families to Camden?
