    3. Dear MITCHELL Researchers, Some of our cousins are trying to restore the small cemetery where our Great Great Great Grandfather Drury Mitchell is buried. Born in Virginia about 1765, died July 10, 1857, Drury married Rhoda Rebecca Mary LASSITER on December 30, 1800 in Green County, Georgia. Drury and Mary were the parents of Ricey Madeiras John MITCHELL (R.M.J. MITCHELL was a grandfather of our grandmother Pearl LEE HIGDON.) During the 1920's most of the tombstones were used in a nearby field to stop erosion. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT !!!??? Wallace MITCHELL, a top Mitchell researcher now has Drury Mitchell's headstone in safe keeping until the cemetery can be restored. Sadly, we'll never know Drury's exact grave site, but at least we know where the cemetery is exactly located. If anyone wants to help with this project you can email Wallace Mitchell at: WLightside@aol.com Any help would be appreciated, Blessings from your cousin, Odessa WLightside@aol.com wrote: hello Odessa, I went to Robert Hall's house in Florida and picked up Drury Mitchell's tombstone today. As you know he was the grandfather of Rhoda Ann Elizabeth Mitchell Lee. Robert and I wanted to get several family members together to help Vaudie Knight restore the Brooks Chapel Cemetery, it is on her land between Garland and McKenzie, Alabama. If you have any Ideas or would like to help in any way let me know. We also want to put up a marker for the cemetery and fence it in. talk later, Wallace --------------------------------- Access over 1 million songs - Yahoo! Music Unlimited.
