I'm not trying to put anybody down but the "Indian blood" we are proud of in the year 2000 would have been denied in 1900. I'm proud to be part Choctaw on both sides of my family but I don't think my grandparents felt that way. Grant Johnston

There were probably more but others didn't want to be known as Indian for they would be made to leave their land.
