Leah's father's name was William E. Carter of AL. I have only found one census that is a possibility of this family. Because Leah was born in late 1840, she will only be on the 1850 Census data, which I have yet to find. The 1860 Census shows: CARTER WILLIAM 51 M W AL AL MONROE BURNT CORN P O 1860 Keziah, wife age 50 Thomas age 18 Keziah, daughter age 15 Sarah age 11 Lawrence age 8 Rony(?) son age 1 Leah was already married in 1860, so she wouldn't be on this census. I think this is the correct family, because Leah names one of her daughters Keziah. Can someone help me find an 1850 Census from Monroe Co., AL with Leah Frances as daughter. She was born Sept 1840, so will be 9 or 10 on Census. Thanks in advance, Lisa
