    2. Ted and Freda Noble
    3. Hello...just learned that my long- missing- gggrandfather William Robinson/Roberson may have lived in Buena Vista, Alabama, in Monroe County, in 1817. Looked on the map and learned it is a "historical place" between Beatrice and Vredenburgh, and that the town has a "Buena Vista Cemetery." Does anyone know anything about Buena Vista? Is the cemetery on the Internet? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Freda Roberson Noble Freda and Ted Noble tnoble@mcn.org

    3. Wow, Kay, you are truly a great researcher! I just got a card from our Bookmobile to see if I could order the book on the Federal Highway. I am assuming you have a copy. May I ask if there are any Robinson or Roberson names in it? May not be worth my ordering it. News just said we had an earthquake just south of us. Ted said he felt a tiny shake. He was upstairs working in his studio. I didn't feel a thing. Thank goodness. Makes me wonder what is happening down there in the earth plates...Turkey, Taiwan???? Later...Freda Freda and Ted Noble tnoble@mcn.org

    3. Seeking information on Alexander TORRY (TORREY, TORRIE, TORY) who was born October 12, 1776 and died July 4, 1835. He was born in North Carolina and is supposed to be buried at Claiborne in Monroe County. Alexander Torry is known to have lived in Hancock and Clarke counties in Georgia. He was probably married twice. The name of his first wife was a Miss Hamilton and the name of his second wife was Phalby HORN. Children included: Rebecca, George William, James, Mary Elizabeth, Aveline, Frances, David and John. I would like to know the location of his grave in Monroe County if it is marked. In addition I am interested in all information that may be available for members of his family. Thanks in advance for any assistance offered. 1. BROOKS,BOOKER>Old Texas Area
    2. Hi All, I am looking for anyone that is researching the BROOKS family that lived in the Old Texas area of Monroe County. My connection is with a family member that lived and was raised with the Brooks family. All I have is this: Jackson G. Booker was orphaned and went to live with a Brooks family in Old Texas. Belive that it was Sam Brooks and his wife M.A. Brooks raised Jackson along with their family. It is suspected that Sam Brooks also had a son named Sam Brooks. I think that the Sam Brooks I am looking for was enlisted with Company A 4th.AL.Cal. If you know of this family and could enlighten me on anything please respond. Best Regards, Dave Rindler iawild1@aol.com
