    3. I realize that post offices determined the census. My people while living in several places were listed in Burnt Corn, Dennard's Bluff, Buena Vista etc. yet they lived on the Ridge. I was, however, told by one of the genealogy buffs in Monroe County that the Dennard near Eliska listed on the 1895 map I have, is indeed, a different place from Dennard's Bluff. He was not certain where it was but stated that Dennard near Eliska is not the Bluff. I would hope someone could help Grant before he gets to Monroe County in identifying the area. That is, after all, the point of the entire discussion. ;-) Now that I've said that, someone, pleeeaaaasse find it for Grant and me. We would be forever indebted. I've tried for the last month. 3. Hi...does anyone have more information about the Roberson/Robinson people mentioned below. I received the info from a kind researcher. My brickwall is my gggrandfather (as everyone probably knows by now!). The following Williams are born too late to be my gggrandfather, but I am wondering if anyone of them could be my William's son or/and could the Mrs. Will Roberson mentioned be his daughter-in-law. Would like to hear from anyone with more info about the following people. Thank you. F.Roberson Noble > 1.William Jeremiah Roberson m. Drusilla Carter. She was born 6-2-1846. > 2.William R. 3. Hello all, It is all well and good to want to know where these places are/were, but that doesn't necessarily mean that is where your people actually lived! Mine were in the Old Texas area, however in one census the address was listed as Burnt Corn - soooo, I think probably it had to do with shifts in Postal designations. The people "stayed put" but their mailing addresses changed. My 2ยข worth, Mary Alice in CA

    3. I suspect Dennard's Bluff was somewhere on the Ridge Road or near it. I was there recently and took a left off Hwy 21 at Peterman up the Ridge Road. My great great grandparents, Richard Nelson Fore and his wife, Harriet Andress Fore lived and are buried up on the Ridge. Harriet was listed along with other Fore family members in Dennard's Bluff in the 1870 census. Someone from the area may have a better understanding but when I asked some locals, they were not familiar with Dennard's Bluff. 3. Freda, Would you happen to know the year of the yellow fever epidemic? My great great grandfather died in 1862 at age 41 and I have no reason for cause of death. His widow lived in 1870 at Dennard's Bluff along with a great deal of my family, the FORES. Thanks for any assistance. 2. I have Young Lee who married Susan Fail b 1829. Their child Elizabeth Jane Lee m John A bryan b 3-10-1819 d 1-28-1904 in 1847. Both buried Georgiania. Their child Katherine Alice Bryan m 2-10-1881 Daniel Dozier Bennett b 6-1-1848 son of Thomas Bennett and Prudence Ship or maybe Bennett Bennett. Their dau Elizabeth Lee Bennett married William Lee Andress and is my husbands grandmother. Freda I suspect this Dozier is the Dozard?spelling you mentioned in an earlier this week email as the other line you mentioned appears to be Carol Green's family. Dozier is a fairly common surname in my part of SC. My husbands middle name is Dozier and we have often wondered where it came from before Daniel Dozier Bennett above. Does anyone see anything that connects? Thanks Kay Andress
