The only McKenzie I have any knowledge (and its not much) was "Nannie" McKenzie , first wife of Sylvester Medlock in Perdue Hill, Monroe county, AL, They had two sons, Milton and James Medlock. revjane, I found a Robert Davis from Coffee County, AL, I think he is the only one listed on the Monroe Journals 1926 list. As I said before, this is NOT a complete list of the Co F 53 rd Alabama, it is only a partial list that the Journal published in 1926. There were some Simmons in Monroe County but I don't know if they were connected to the CSA in any way. I do know that a Mr and Mrs. Simmons owned a hotel in Monroeville. I spent some time there as a child, and I fondly remember sitting on a high stool in the kitchen, talking to "Ninna" the wonderful cook . This was about 1941-42. She made the best cherry pies !
