Hello, Could you do a marriage look-up for me? James W. (Wesley or William) married Hettie Grace Salter James was born in 1864. Maybe that will help you narrow it down to the year. Thanks so much, Janet Ross Etheredge

I figured this out a couple of years ago when I was reading mortality schedules on microfilm.......what about the years in between ??? Is there any other records besides having to find the tombstones? I am finding that several of my ancesters are in unmarked graves.....That makes it hard to find out when they died........ -----Original Message----- From: Mary Alice Thomas <marthomas@worldnet.att.net> To: ALMONROE-L@rootsweb.com <ALMONROE-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, November 18, 1999 8:19 AM Subject: [ALMONROE-L] Mortality Schedules >Dear Listers, >In reading some of your requests to Deanie for "look-ups" it seems that some >of you are not aware of what these schedules are. Please check the mortality schedule for Warren Green d Nov. 1859 Monroe Co. Al. I would like all info given on the schedule for this person. Thank you Marian
Dear Listers, In reading some of your requests to Deanie for "look-ups" it seems that some of you are not aware of what these schedules are. They record the deaths of persons who died during the census year only, i.e. June 1 1849 to May 31 1850. These schedules are available for the censuses of 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880. I'm sorry to be so tardy in responding, but I was away from Oct 25 to Nov 14, and am still reading accumulated e-mail. Mary Alice in CA
Freda, I would like to have my name also included for a reprint of the Centennial Edition of the Monroe Journal. Many of my family were in Monroe County from before it was a county in 1806 until my direct line left in 1853. Many of the Lambert family are still there from what I have been told. My main lines were ADCOCK, HENDERSON, LAMBERT, STIGGINS, BOYLES, PARKER, ELLISON, & JONES. Thanks, Mark D. Dear List, On Friday, November 19, I will forward to Mr. Bo Bolton, Publisher, Monroe Journal, the names who have expressed to me an interest in reprints of the Centennial Editions of the Monroe Journal. Please write to me before Friday if you would like your name included. The e-mail address is <monjour@frontiernet.net> if anyone would like to write directly to Mr. Bolton. I again spent several hours one day this week searching for a family name for a researcher. The 1966 edition is loaded with genealogy. I hope eventually someone will index the books. Unfortunately, the sources of most of the articles are not given. The address for the Monroe Journal's web page is: http.//www.frontiernet.net/~monjour/index.html> Obituaries are printed and John Thomas Jones has a column that gives wonderful stories of the earlier days. There is also a genealogy page. Freda Freda and Ted Noble tnoble@mcn.org
