There are a lot of Carnley's here in Pensacola, FL. There is even a Carnley's Barbeque Restaurant that has been here forever. There are some Carnley's buried in the Atmore Cemetary. The exact name of the Cemetary escapes me at the moment, but I noticed the name while looking for my relatives there. And since there are so many Carnleys where I live, it just registered. Is this person deceased? I could check the death index at the library. kim ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 25, 2006 2:43 PM Subject: [ALMONROE-L] Re: Christine Carnley > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HU.2ADI/1601.2.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > I am looking for the Carnley's of Florida and Alabama. First the Biggs connection: My g-grandfather's brother George H. Roley married Isabella Charity Ann Biggs. She was the daughter of Winfrey and Sarah Biggs, he the son of Archibald Biggs. Also, the sister (?) of Winfrey, Caroline Biggs, married John Rice Chandler, brother of my gg-grandmother. Now for the goody: If this Biggs family is yours, I have a copy of an old Bible that gives a lot of info on them! Then the Standford connection (This is much briefer than the Biggs connection): David Standford married Narcissa Travis in Wilcox County in 1840. Narcissa was the sister of my gg-grandmother. I find the Standfords on the 1860 Monroe County census, but cannot find them later. Would love to know if we have some common ground here. Feel free to write me directly. Ken Johnson Jackson, MS
