Does anyone have any info on whatever happened to JOHN MACABOY (MCVOY) who was the father of DIEGO, and GUILLERMO MCVOY? c.late 1700's--does anyone know the truth of where he came from and also, where he is buried? Does anyone know whatever happened to GUILLERMO and DIEGO'S older brother JUAQUIN MAKBOY,who was born circa 1775? Was he the same person known as JOSEPH MCVOY who lived in LEXINGTON DIST SC in latest 1700s and married MARY KILLIAM? He apparently later lived in MS and his widow passed away in FRANKLIN PARISH,LA. Their mom Isabella, remarried a man named MARTIN de MADRID in PENSACOLA-- does anyone know what happened to her and also, where is she buried? Also, it was said that they had a sister named ANN MAKBOY--does anyone know who she married? GUILLERMO MACABOY (MAKBOY), became known as WILLIAM MCVOY,SR. and married MARGARET BYRNE,b.1783 in PENSACOLA. I am descended from this line. DIEGO MCVOY was a commissioner of MOBILE,AL in 1815 and married into the BOUSAGE FAMILY. DOES anyone really know if JOHN MAKBOY/MACABOY/MCVOY was perhaps the person listed in FTM as JEAN FRANCOIS MACAVEY who came to BATON ROUGE in 1720? I was always told that JOHN MAKBOY was orig. JOHN MCAVOY and came to SAVANNAH or CHARLESTON from IRELAND, yet I can find absolutely no record of this. That is why I am wondering if he may have been JEAN FRANCOIS MACAVEY? Also, his wife was named YSABELLA(spelled several ways)MELOS (or MELSA?) INDESA MAKBOY (MCVOY/MACABOY/MCAVOY/MCABOY) de MADRID. SHE is said to have been SPANISH in some sources and other sources say ENGLISH and have her name as MELOS.
