NEED INFO on my 4th great grandmother of MOBILE,ALABAMA circa 1740-1760birth. Her name was YSABELLA MELSA INDERA or ISABELLA MELSA INDERA or 'AMERICANIZED' to 'ELIZABETH MILLER.' She was the wife of JOHN MCVOY FROM IRELAND and the mother of DIEGO MCVOY,SR of MOBILE and WILLIAM MCVOY SR. who had lived in SAVANNAH and PENSACOLA and MOBILE. --and possibly also of JOSEPH MCVOY, SR. of LEXINGTON DISTRICT SC in the same time frame who moved to MS and later to FRANKLIN PARISH,LA. I assume she came from SPAIN, possibly CATALONIA??. On other websites, I've seen her listed as ELIZABETH MILLER, but I got this info from my grandpa MCVOY'S sister's family --who took it from the MCVOY FAMILY BIBLE and had other official family records to verify this information.
