Many homes were flooded, some even destroyed, and people are desparate here for the basics of life we all take for granted. The city has ground to a halt and is under a dusk to dawn curfew. People need food, water, and gasoline. Distribution centers are starting but there is more need than supplies. In addition we are housing many refugees from New Orleans and Mississippi who cannot return home. While the power is slowly coming back on and we are starting to recover, the need will continue for a long time. If you would like to help, PLEASE make donations to the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army so they can help us and our sister cities on the Gulf Coast recover quickly. And thank you for all your prayers. Mobile is a beautiful city and we will recover!
