Surnames: NEWBURY, VAUGHN, WARD Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TS.2ADE/1801.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I remembered this morning that I had forgot that Margaret was in the 1850 Wilcox County, Alabama household of Peter Christopher Newbury. Note that in this transcription Peter appears to be enumerated as P. E. NEWBURY. "1850 WILCOX COUNTY ALABAMA CENSUS ; p.798: 805 5 843 NEWBURY P. I had wondered about Margaret's actual parentage. It is also interesting to note that HOLLOWAY's were in Peter's 1850 household and that a Margaret HOLLOWAY was a witness in the 7 May 1838 Abbeville District, S.C. Will of Samuel PERRYMAN, which also stated that Beckham VAUGHAN was taking care of his affairs in Lowndes County, Alabama. I don't know why Margaret was in Peter's 1850 household, but it looks like she and James must have been childhood sweethearts!
