Without your help, I would never have located all this information. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I have searched the censuses available to me in 1870, and cannot locate the Vaughns. Perhaps they were missed that year. In 1850, Beckham Vaughn's household only consisted of him (listed as "B. Vaughn"), his wife (listed as "Mrs. Vaughn), and one daughter Emma. The age of Hattie Ann Ward Vaughn in 1850 was incorrect - given as the same as Beckham's age. The enumeration gives the appearance of a hurried one, and so I assume that Maggie was merely omitted. The 1840 census in Lowndes County indicates two young daughters in Beckham's household, presumably Emma and Maggie. Best wishes, Tim Hudson
