Can anyone help me? I'm looking for the Joseph Clinton that married Josephine Wainwright on 1/18/1866 in Mobile county, AL. He must have died in 1867, because she remarried in Sept 1868. She married George W. Emerson. Josephine and George Emerson were listed in the 1870 census, but the son she had with Joseph Clinton was not living with her and her new husband, but with her brother -in-law. Since Josephine and Joseph never appeared in the census together, I don't have know anything about him, except when they married. Does anyone recognize Joseph Clinton? Know anything about him?
