She was 70. Mrs. Cowart was a native of Birmingham and a resident of Mobile for the past 46 years. Survivors include four children, Lynn Cowart of Destin, Fla., Jim Cowart and Terry Cowart, both of Mobile, and Dr. Michael Cowart of Dallas; a brother, Norman Buddy Nix of Florence, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Serenity Funeral Home on Old Pascagoula Road today from noon until the 2 p.m. service. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens Published in the Mobile Register September 14, 2001
