Everyone else has a different last name, but I thought my mother-in-law said it was Shoemaker. After reading your communication regarding Shumaka, I wonder if that could have been what she meant. She was supposed to be of indian descent, I thought Cherokee for a long time, but some family members of late, have said she might be Choctaw. She married a "Jim" (James Monroe) Youngblood. She had a hotel on indian land around 1900. In a picture sent to me she had daughters, Delphi and Cora and son Van standing in front of it.
