My husband's father was born and raised in Texas, orphaned and later established in Columbus, Georgia. He told my husband and his sister that his father was from Mobile Al although he would have never remembered his because he died when he was 5 around 1914 in Texas.We beleive his name was JF(??) (Joseph Fredrick??) McHugh and he did marry Bessie Nobes. Any info would be appreciated. My sister in law remembers a cousin Sylvia McHugh from the Mobile area that used to visit them in Columbus when they were children and Sylvia was a yound adult.
