Hello Everyone: Those of you who are working on your lines back to your 1600s American Ancestors will find the 1600s Ancestors Data Base to be of great help. I have recently posted several hundred new Ancestors to the Data Base bringing the total to over 29,000 entries both men and women. Also listed are several National Societies who have proven many of the Ancestors you will find here. There are also a few new Reference Works that contain many more lines. The entries are coded to indicate to which Society or Reference Work has at least one of their proven lines. Several of the National Societies have over 20 different lines from a single Ancestor. WHEN YOU ENTER THE 1600s ANCESTORS DATA BASE be sure to look at the top of each data page for the link that takes you to the "Data Base Information Page". There you will find the list of codes and how to use them. This is MUST reading if you are to understand the Data Base and how to use it. We are constantly updating the Data Base with Additional Ancestors and references as time permits. More work has been devoted to updating listings of the female Ancestors by going back and including marriage dates. This takes much time and we still have a lot of work to do there. You will find the 1600s Ancestor Data Base at; http://www.firstfamilies.org/db/ For those of you who are AOL members you may have trouble connecting to many pages that may come up with a message such as "Page Does Not Exist" and you should cure that by using your browser feature of Copy and Paste the URL to your browser and pressing your enter key. Everyone has free access to the Data Base and to all our posted pages. Enjoy and Happy Hunting Ryan Jackson Data Base Manager America's First Families
I'm looking for the grave of Harriet Hattie Lott Hardy b. 2-20-1848 in Alabama, d. 5-18-1895, in Meridian, Mississippi. She was married to the man who founded Hattiesburg, and Gulfport Mississippi, Captain William H. Hardy. I'm told she is buried in Magnolia Cemetery, in Mobile, Mobile Co. Alabama. Also I would like to know if a Zula or Zinnia Lott Young is buried there also. She would have died about 1908. Thank You for any help. Johnie

Hi everyone, I am new here but am hoping someone knows where I can gather more information on my family history that exists in Mobile Alabama. I've been struggling with rootsweb, ancestry.com and many others in the past several years to uncover more information on two Mostransky members. Wadslew MOSTRANSKY married to Catherine KUSHMAN gave birth to a son Anthony MOSTRANSKY b: 2 SEP 1914 in New York Anthony married Josephine Augusta WATSON b: 20 AUG 1905 in Mobile, Mobile Co. AL in 1980. Josephine married many men before Anthony but he was her last husband. Anthony died on OCT 1984 in Mobile, Mobile Co. AL and is buried in Pine Crest Cemetery (not sure if that is in Mobile). I have a little bit more on them but was wondering if there was any angle you could suggest that I could persue with their roots being in Alabama. I am sure that Josephine had some children (though not from Anthony). Josephine died on 18 SEP 1995 in Mobile, AL. and is buried at Magnolia Cemetery Lot 68 Sq. 35 #3 DD top. I don't expect you to take all my info and do research but wanted to save a second email if you were interested in any of it. any help that you could give me I would greatly appreciate it. Unfortunately if data can only be found on microfiche/film at local libraries I don't see myself making it to Alabama anytime soon. In the 1880 Census: J. B. Rawls.......white . male, age 32 R. M --------white, female age 25 Carrie L.---white, female, age 6 Jarroette ---white, female, age 5 James B.-----white male , age 2 Masters Mary E.---white , female, age40, Servant Buckaloo, O. ---white, male, age 12 Buckaloo, Dora---white female age 8 Masters Fannie---white, female, age 5 Hutchinson C. G.----white, male, age 32 Grump, George---black, male 50 On Line the Census reads that Fannie Masters parents are J. B and R. M. Rawls. My great grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Woulard, Moss, Buckaloo, Masters. She was listed as a servant (white) during the 1880 Census. Her children were Oliver Buckaloo, Dora Buckaloo (MARRIED SWAN JOHNSON) and the Fannie Masters , listed at age 5, should have been Minnie Lee Masters. Minnie Lee was born in 1874 and Fannie Masters was born in 1879. Fannie would have only been a year old. The Census is wrong. So if any Rawls have this line in Washington County, Alabama and you are looking for the daughter Fannie which is listed on line as daughter of J. B and R. M. Rawls...this is an error. Also the census read O (Oliver) Buckaloo and Dora Buckaloo are son and daughter of J. B. Rawls and his wife. but this isn't true. On Line at Ancestery.com it reads Fannie Masters was the daughter of J. B and R. M. Rawls. That is what caught my eye. I hope this helps someone out that has seen Fannie Masters written down as J. B. and R. M. Rawls daughter. Sandra maiden name Waldrop Muscogee County, Georgia Researching: Washington County, Alabama and Wayne County, Mississippi. Does anyone have the land map of Wayne County? I lost mine. I bought it in a Bank in Waynesboro, Mississippi when the Library was sold out. It has pages of where the land is located and who lives there. My last white Woulards died near State Line , Mississippi in 1914 and the others moved out to surrounding towns. Now, all Woulards are black in the Wayne County, Mississippi area. I would love to know where my gr gr grandpapa lived and where the land was he owned and raised his family. I know the town is Eret, Mississippi in Wayne County. Land , where the white Woulards lived, was given to the black back in the mid to late 1800s. The blacks call the area they live in now Woulard's Bend. Is anyone working on William H. Lee and Mary J. Wainwright of Mobile county? They were married 16 Dec 1863 in Mobile county, AL. I found William H.
