    1. Children Sent To America Before The Mayflower
    2. First Families
    3. Hello Everyone: We have posted a list of early VA immigrants that should be of help to those of you who may be having problems with establishing your early lines there. This concerns the Children Ordered Sent to Virginia 1618-1642 and contains a listing of 468 children, including 337 before the Mayflower landed in 1620! We have also included information on the reason for these relocations here so you can better understand why this practice happened during that time period. This would represent many thousands of lines and could be a reason why you may be having problems with your early people there. You will find the list located on the web site at; http://www.linkline.com/personal/xymox/ Once you get there you will be looking for the link Family Pages Index which you will enter. On the Family Index Page enter CHILDREN SENT TO VA 1618-1642. Everyone has FREE access to all our web site and the reports contained there. Enjoy Harold Oliver America's First Families

    1. Looking for Joseph Clinton
    2. Rebecca Roberts
    3. Can anyone help me? I'm looking for the Joseph Clinton that married Josephine Wainwright on 1/18/1866 in Mobile county, AL. He must have died in 1867, because she remarried in Sept 1868. She married George W. Emerson. Josephine and George Emerson were listed in the 1870 census, but the son she had with Joseph Clinton was not living with her and her new husband, but with her brother -in-law. Since Josephine and Joseph never appeared in the census together, I don't have know anything about him, except when they married. Does anyone recognize Joseph Clinton? Know anything about him? Thanks for your help, Becky Roberts Columbus, Ohio

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TS.2ADE/1790 Message Board Post: Was unable to locate an obituary for Nellie Zeneta Cain Campbell and thus do not know where she was buried. Nellie was the daughter of Joe Cain (of Mardi Gras fame). She died May 15, 1947 in Mobile at the age of 73. Joe Cain was moved to Church street cemetery sometime in the 60's or 70's. Have searched that cemetery and it does appear that she was buried there. Have also searched the cemeteries in Bayou la Batre to no avail. Are there any on-line records on deaths, obituaries or cemetary listings that could help? If not, it may require another trip to Mobile to find it.
