My family history has the company in up-state New York (not the South). However, I would be more than willing to share information with you. Arkell is not a common name in North America and few people know that an Arkell actually invented the paper bag (I've got a copy of the patient to prove it).

He's too old to be the father of a son in WWI but he did have sons Frank Jr b abt 1853 and James E b abt 1860 and it's possible one of them was a police chief. I plan to go to the Mobile Library soon - will see what I can find.

Lena was born 19 Jan 1889 and died 2 Aug 1945. That I know of they only had two children who I was told were adopted. My father told me that A. Lee was adopted by the Bradley family. I don't think my father or his siblings really know if anyone was adopted or not. My Grandmother moved from Pike County, Al to Perry, FL with them when their Father Grover Bradley left her. Rebecca/Beauchamp/Bradley. Gover's sister was Eula. I found a grave for a Martha Eula Windham . My Aunt Eula was married to James Oscor Windham . It's in the same cemetery "Shady Grove" I do know that Eula did marry a Windham and her children were Fannie, Annett & David. If you know anything.
