    1. [ALMOBILE] Hugo Ernestus KREBS - 1786 MOBILE SPANISH CENSUS
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TS.2ADE/1090 Message Board Post: A 1786 SPANISH CENSUS OF THE MOBILE DISTRICT is posted on the Internet. It lists: Joseph Kreps, married, age 44, wife's age 23 Franco Kreps, married, age 43, wife's age 40 M Kreps, unmarried age 50 Hugo Kreps , married age 30, wife's age 21 Agustin Kreps, married, age 36, wife's age 29 N Pedro Kreps, unmarried, age 30 I believe that most, if not all, of the above are descendants of Hugo Ernestus KREBS. Four of the names fit exactly: Joseph Simon KREBS b. 11 Jan 1742 his wife, (Mary) Marie Louise DUPONT b. 10 Dec 1764 Francis KREBS b. 18 Jan 1743 his wife, Helen MOREAU dit Belle Isle b. abt 1746 Ludwig Augustine KREBS b. 14 Dec 1750 his wife, Magdelene DURIF b. 17 Mar 1756 Daniel Hugo KREBS b. 23 Dec 1754 his wife, Louise LeFleua b. 13 Jul 1765 The following *might* be the N. Pedro Kreps, as the dates match: Antoine Raphael KREBS b. 8 Sep 1756 (he was listed "single" at the time of the 1786 Cenus, but married in that year) his wife, Marie Catherine DUPONT - Married 18 Sep 1786. But two of the names DO NOT fit at all (with any of the Hugo Ernest KREBS descents): N. PEDRO KREPS, unmarried age 30 (born abt 1756) M. KREPS , unmarried age 50 (born abt 1736) Does anyone know of anything about the two missing KREBS in Mobile in 1786?

Place of marriage unknown - should be Mobile or Washington Co AL. Johnathan Davis may have been married before - but only two children named in the Solomon Anderson probate record: Minerva and John. The thread of the discussion on Davises in Mobile Co is interesting in that it seems to parallel known information on Johnathan.
