A lot of the "Johnsons" I am looking for are buried in Dorlon Cemetary. I am looking for Capt. Tom and Lena Johnsons birthplaces. Nicholas Johnson was Toms, father, Tom was Carls father, and Carl was my husbands father, making the Nicholas I am looking for my husbands great great grandfather. Any information I have I will happily share and would appreciate the same. Thanks so much for the responses thus far.

I know there are also several Lutheran churches in Mobile. Many of the churches are listed in the genealogy online City of Mobile directories from earlier eras. Surprisingly enough, many of the older churches still exist today in Mobile (try a current directory listing and call all the church offices). Who knows what lead someone will put you onto. Good luck in your search. And if you get really great info, please post it.

I would suggest you go through the Health Dept. to order a birth or death certificate, but you may have to have more information than what you have. Try to find "the family bible" to see what it has, or some relative who might have some information. Try a school system where he attended, or maybe a local LDS Family History Center.
