This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: HARDIN, GARRISON, McCANDLESS, GARNER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SS.2ADE/160 Message Board Post: The "ORAL-Annels" of Ancestral History has been 'handed down' the "Factualities" that "Margery HARDIN" was the Daughter of Augustine Blackburn HARDIN, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Garner) HARDIN, of Columbia, Maury County, TN. ?WHY? are there TWO-Mysteries Still Existing today regarding HARDIN's Daughter? Margery had a Father who came to Liberty and Hardin Counties in Texas in 1825. She had a younger brother, A.B.Jr., who came to, and reared a family, in Leon County, Texas, and He is buried in Lampassas, County, Texas. ?WAS? Margery's real "Maiden Name" HARDIN? Or was it GARRISON? She was only Age 13 when She married McCANDLESS, therefore it is NOT feasible that She had been previously married to a "GARRISON"? She and James McCANDLESS purchased a marriage License on February 9, 1830 in Morgan County, Alabama, under the name of "Magara A. GARRISON", and reared a family in Meltonsville, Marshall County, Alabama. National Archives 'Documents' Indicate that Margery HARDIN and Magara A. GARRISON were-One-and-the-Same?--Any Information, Please!--Crowell Durany, 1124 Powell Circle, Mesquite, Texas 75149. Phone 972-285-9206.
