Hardy Holman SA(U)NDERS married Catherine Anne CLAMPET (not Black nor Indian) September 28, 1835, Madison County, Alabama. They returned to Franklin County, near Lost Creek, Tennessee until 1856 when they moved to Marshall County, Alabama where Hardy had acquired 80 acres near Hillian's Store. He died before 1860. Hardy and Catherine's children were: 1. John H. Sa(u)nders, 1836 2. George H. Sa(u)nders, 1838 3. Melvina Jane, 1840 4. Emily, 1842 5. Elizabeth, 1844 ~ married Unknown FORD, her daughter, Leona C. married Franklin PRUITT in 1888. Secondly, Elizabeth married Unknown ALLEN. 6. Wiley, 1846 7. Malinda and Sidney Sa(u)nders, 1848 8. Hardy H. Sa(u)nders, Jr., 1850 ~ believe he married Mattie M. GRIGSON and moved to Miller Cty, Arkansas. 9. Pinkney "Pink" Sa(u)nders, 1852 ~ killed between ages 10-13 years during the Civil War. 10. Andrew Masten Sa(u)nders, 1854 ~ married Eliza Anne HENDREN from Jackson Cty and moved to Miller Cty, Arkansas. 11. Trissa "Trissy", 1856 ~ married George W. THOMAS in 1882. 12.
