A listing of the Marion County newspapers can be found on the Alabama Department of Archives and History website found at http://www.archives.state.al.us/ look under genealogists, then Database of newspapers, then type in Marion county. It will give a list of newspapers available for Marion county that have been microfilmed. These can either be bought or obtained through the interlibrary loan. Also, if you live around Hamilton, the Probate Judges office has old copies of the newspapers from around that time. I don't know if Glen Allen had a paper then or not, but these are a few suggestions. Wish you success in your research.
