    2. Your Margaret Mitchell is listed at Ancestry.com as having died in Lamar County 14 Aug 1820. You can order a death certificate from Alabama Center of Health Statistics, but it costs $12.     3. Thanks to all who sent me the location of Margaret Mitchell's death certificate. I feel silly. Never thought to look in Lamar County. Didn't really think she was there so I never looked. Well as some of you have pointed out, Margaret Mitchell's death certificate is recorded in Lamar County. It's ordered. I just hope the informant knew the maiden name of Margaret's mother.
