    1. [ALMARION] Looking for Azael (Azell) and Patience
    2. Jimmie
    3. Barbara and Ira, See Hallmark Mail List Archives at Rootsweb for more Hallmark info. As far as I've found George Hallmark, Sr. moved into Greene County, TN about 1787 and to Knox County, TN about 1797 where he was a church clerk and then to Madison County, Mississippi Territory by 1809 where he is found on a census of that area. Madison County, Mississippi Territory is now Madison County, Alabama. This 1809 Madison County, Mississippi Territory census is online at Madison County, AL GenWeb Archives. This is what I have for Jesse Hallmark: 1815 Madison Co M.T. Tax List 1 poll 1819 Blount Co AL land entry T13, R1W, Sec.14 1830 Blount Co AL census 1832 Marion County, AL, sold land in Blount County after moving to Marion County, AL 1836/37, Tishomingo County, MS Land Records, several tracts (See MS Land Records, BLM, internet.) I believe that Robert Hallmark was the oldest son of Jesse Hallmark as listed on the 1830 Blount County, AL census. I believe Robert was married in Marion County, AL after the 1830 census and before 1835 when his first child Azael Thompson Hallmark was born. Two records that make me believe that Robert Hallmark was Jesse's son is: 1. Robert's son Azael Thompson Hallmark married Margaret Jackson on 9 Dec 1853 in Tishomingo County, MS where Jesse Hallmark had moved to from Marion County, AL. 2. Robert's daughter Patience and her two girls were living in Jesse Hallmark's home when the 1870 Tishomingo County census was taken. Patience married Jacob Nichols and he died from wounds received during the Civil War. The 1870 census doesn't identify relationships, but I think Patience was Jesse's granddaughter. Jacob's and Patience's children listed in Patience's pension application are: Leanner (Leannah) Evaline, b. 2 Jan 1863 and Gracey Elizabeth, b. 24 Aug. 1865. The 1870 Tishomingo County census lists them as Leanna, and Elizabeth. I think Gracey Elizabeth was named Gracey after her grandmother Gracey Hallmark, wife of Robert.
