Tishomingo County Family History Fair The first ever Tishomingo County Family History Fair will be held Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the historic Midway School Building from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There are over 100 surnames on our list for the fair so far. Come and dig up some roots from your family tree. The Tri-State Fly Wheelers will be in attendance showcasing their antique tractors. Chief Black Eagle and his friends from the Native American Indian Village in Burnsville will be on hand with a variety of Native American arts and crafts. Beth Freshour from the Mississippi Humanities Council will be conducting a free genealogy seminar designed to help the beginning genealogy researcher from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Midway Homemakers will have arts-n-craft and lots of homemade items for sale. The Chief Tishomingo Chapter DAR and the Midway Homemakers Volunteers will be selling breakfast, lunch, and other refreshments. There will be a $2.00 entrance fee.
