    3. Dear "Snowbird", remember that other cemeteries in the area might also have graves for Duke family members. Per Cemetery Inscriptions of Marion County, Alabama, Volume II by Dorothy Shores Stalcup and William Spann Stalcup, 1980, a Duke Family Cemetery is 8 miles SW of Hamilton off Highway 17 on County Road 22 "in a grove of tall cedar tres on a hill approximately 200 yards (south) behind the Eldon L. Karr home." in S28 T11 R15. The following graves are listed: Norton, J.W. - son of C.B. and B.A. Norton - March 25, 1872-November 28, 1874 Norton, Olive - daughter of C.B. and B.A. Norton - May 23, 1865-April 8, 1868 Holaway, Della J. - daughter of W.J. and M.O. Holaway - October 30, 1891-October 28, 1891 (?) Duke, Jane - Wife of W.H. Duke - June 1, 1828-November 26, 1907 Duke, W.H. - May 1, 1826 - November 26, 1917 Duke, Nancy J. - Wife of S.J. Duke - September 25, 1837-April 18, 1896 Duke, S.J. - August 2, 1834-November 2, 1888 -54 years ? months 20 days Tolleson, Burel M. - June 10, 1831-November 21, 1908 Approximately 15 to 20 unnamed graves marked with field stones.
