Thank you so much for your reply. I might shed a little more light on these families. Isn't it great that we can share our "light"!! James Hamilton Mann is the son of Robert W. and Susan Harris Mann. His son, James Alfred Mann is my greatgrandfather. So James H. and Matilda are my gg grandparents. Nancy Mann Davis has a wonderful website about these families. What I didn't know was how the Fikes and Harris's Joel had listed were connected. Piece by piece is how we put the puzzles together. And meet some wonderful distant relatives in the process. Looks as if Robert Emanuel Fikes is my gg uncle? If he is the brother of Tildey.
