The main library in Huntsville, AL has a book which includes the early 1800's land records in that district, which included Marion Co., AL. The only land record I was able to find for one of my ancestors was when Thomas T. Bird and Ezekial Downs purchased land together in Marion Co., AL in 1836 and it was listed in that book.
