Aileen, The Samuel Alexander Reed I am looking for lived in Pickens County AL in the 1870 census. He was married to Rebecca Coons Reed. They had at least two children....one was named Elector Elizabeth Reid. She married a John Wilson Kelley from Eldridge AL, (Walker County), and they had 13 children. Samuel was born in Perry County AL and died in the early 1920's. He served in the Confederate Army and was captured and imprisoned at Ft Delaware. Does this help?
