Bill & Sue Tubbs used the old land records in compiling a volume for each county in AL and eastern MS. These volumes are titled ANCESTERAL HOMESTEADS and a copy for all 67 volumes for AL are in our local library Heritage Room in Jasper (Walker Co., AL). These are helpful in having the township/section maps that makes it easier to see the neighbors and transfers of land that occurred---especially since so many times these neighbors were family members or became family through later marriages, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenda Todd" <ladyg1063@charter.net> To: <ALMARION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, November 19, 2006 11:37 AM Subject: [ALMARION] Huntsville Land Office > The main library in Huntsville, AL has a book which includes the early > 1800's land records in that district, which included Marion Co., AL.
