I'm interested in information on the Lawrences. My grandmother was a Lawrence( Sylvania) and I have very little background on her. She was married to John Howard Bull. Had a sister in Hackleburg named Annie whom was married to a Whitworth. Had a brother named John, which appears to be a common name among Lawrences. Hi Rex, my gg-grandma was Sarah Elizabeth Lawrence, b. 1853, m. James M. Coon. She was the daughter of Mary Virginia Godsey and Milton Lawrence. Her 2nd marriage was to Wm Robt Mann. If you think this is the Lawrence family you are looking for, I'll try to dig out my records on them. What is the time frame for your grandmother? There are many Bulls listed on the 1850 Marion Co. census. I think I had a cousin, Margie Cochran who married a Whitworth. I also have a 3xgreatgrandma who was Mary Francis Wright. She married Jesse Hallmark.
