Hi, Timmie. Could you give some more information on your Wm Carroll Reed, where, when, father/son, etc? I am trying to find a William Reed purportedly born in Arkansas, per his son Shipman Wesley's death certificate; Shipman born 1839 in probably Alabama, his mother unknown. So I am thinking that Wm was probably born before 1820. Have been searching the 1850 AR county censuses which I can find online, thinking a Wm with a son Shipman 11 years old should be enough different to locate his father, no luck so far. Shipman later moved to TX, married a Mary and had Emma, James and John, and second marriage Lavina Lusk had Edward SAMUEL born CA 1883. Be interested if any connection to your family.
