Want to confirm that Permelia C. Towry was the daughter of Peter and Jane Scott of Marion County, AL. I thought she married a Tyra, but I believe this may be her on the following census records married to Francis Towry or Towrey. 1880 Marion County, AL Township #9, Range #14, p22b Francis Towry, age 30, b. MS Permelia C., age 26, b. AL Dovey? A., age 4, dau., b. AL NOTE: Listed on p22A, 1880 Marion County census is Jane Scott who I think was Permelia's mother. Other census records that this family is listed on: 1900 Indian Territory, Choctow Nation 1910 LeFlore County, OK 1920 LeFlore County, OK - Permelia was head of household Children listed on these census records were: Marshall Bennie Lee, dau Willie, son Melvin E. NOTE: Other children are listed on the 1900 Indian Territory Census, but their names are blotted out. Would like to hear from anyone researching the Scott family, will share. Thanks in advance for any help. Jimmie Nell Meadors dors1933@vvm.com P. S. Several years ago, I heard from a Scott descendant that George W. C. Scott's son Joseph R. Scott moved from Marion County to this same place in Oklahoma.
