I think that Wesley Williams, son of Stephen Williams, is listed on the 1850 Marion County, AL census, age 32, with Samantha Williams, age 25 and Arminda Williams, age 22. Was Arminda Williams, Wesley's sister or what was the relationship. I can't find Wesley in 1860, but I think the same Wesley Williams is listed on the 1870 Wayne County, TN census with wife Samantha and Sarah Brett, age 27, living in their household. In 1880 Marion County, AL census there is a Wesley Williams with wife Mary listed. I don't know if this is the same Wesley Williams or not. Researchers say that Wesley married Martha Brumley. (Was this a 2nd marriage?) Could Mary be Martha? I found at Ancestry.com where Wesley's widow Martha filed for a pension in re to Wesley's Civil War Service on 31 Aug 1891. Would like to know more about Stephen Williams, Wesley's father. In 1850 did Stephen, age 77, b. SC, and wife Mary, age 65, b. SC, live in the household of their son George W. Williams, Itawamba County, MS? And, is he the same Stephen who is buried at Tremont Methodist Church, Itawamba County, MS? Thanks in advance for any help. Jimmie Nell Meadors
