Has anyone on the list ever tried to get John Mitchell's death certificate? He was born 4 Jun 1825 in South Carolina and died 6 Aug 1913 in Marion County, AL. I searched for him in Alabama death records online and didn't find him listed. I would like to find a death record to see if it lists his mother's maiden name. I know her name was Anna/Anny and sometimes referred to as Nancy. Would there be any place in Marion County where old death records are kept? Jimmie dors1933@vvm.com
