I'm in the same boat. I would like to locate a death certificate on Margaret Brown Mitchell. She was born 8 August 1839 in Tennessee and died 14 August 1920 in Marion County. She was the wife of John Mitchell. I have searched for her in the Alabama death records online and didn't find her listed either. I know her mother's name was Margaret but would like to know the mother's maiden name. Jerry W.
