I can get you to a LOT of the Monroe County family. My Smith family connection is Dora Sykes, first wife of Walter Burnett, mother of the children. Lucille Burnetts son, Walter F. Burnett (Buddy) Motes died 2003. They are all almost buried at New Prospect, 3 miles east of Aberdeen. I grew up in that community. I am not sure who authored the book, but it is really nice.
