He was son of Dr. Frederick Elliott Gordon and Sarah N. Howard Conway. Not sure when they moved to Mobile, but hope to locate his birth/christening records. They were of Presbyterian religion and members of the Government St. Presbyterian Church in Mobile after the move. The church has records of their pew fees and other things, but believe he could have been christened in Marion. Thanks in advance Mary
