I know that the word Thadius 99% of the time is a Walker. I found were my Harpers had a son(Thadius Harper), they lived near the Walkers and a marriage had taken place between Harper and Walker. I can refer you to the Alabama marriages either Walker, Fayette, or Marion counties. Because where they lived bordered all three counties. Most of Fayettes marriages are on their site. The following Thadius(Thad) G. Walker for 1920 Marion Co is :Thad G. Head age 40,wife Minnie age 36, Pauline dau.age 19(married Manley McWhirter, my mothers brother) Thad G. son age17, Alliene dau age 13,Ray son age 8,Lucy dau age 6,Shelton G. age 3 (died in last 3 years buried Hopewell as are others like Pauline and Manley) Grace dau. age 4 months. It is entirely possible that one or two are still living. Thad G. 40 years old in 1920 would not have been the one who filed a Civil War Claim, possibly his father. See Southern Claims Commissions for details on the claims. There are a lot of Walkers buried at Hopewell. At one time, the Walkers were the only ones that kept the cemetery cleaned . Now, because George Tucker, a Revolutionaly soldier is buried there, the Tuckers have formed an association that is maintaining more of the cemetery. Winfield Library has a wonderful genealogy library on Marriages for both Fayette and Marion Co. I was there this week. Mary
