    3. I'm still trying to figure out the name of Robert Hallmark's wife. On Marion County census records beginning in 1850 thru 1880, she is always listed as Gracie/Gracy. Robert and Gracy named one of their daughtere "Patience" and named one of their sons "Azael" which made me think that maybe Gracy was the daughter of Azael and Patience Harris. Another of Robert and Gracy Hallmark's daughter "Martha Ann Meshaw/Meshow's" death certificate says that Martha Ann died 17 May 1930 in Calhoun County, AL. The certificate says that her father was Robert Hallmark and her mother was Martha Brown. So, was Gracie's name Martha Grace Brown?? And, which Brown family did Martha belong to? Marion County Court records lists the following: Vol 3, #178, A. T. Hallmark from J. T. Harris, then states "not in book". According to census records, Azael's full name was Azael Thompson Hallmark. Did the Harris family have some sort of connection to a Thompson family? 3. Jimmie, Yes, I believe that Gracie Hallmark was the daughter of Azael Daniel & Patience ( ) Harris. There are too many unique family names for her not to be a daughter of A. D. & Patience. Also, Gracie fits into the date period for a daughter born at that time to them according to census records (1830, If I recall correctly). Patience, Azael, and Thompson, are all common names in this family line. I have NOT been able to fully document this relationship, but feel fairly certain that she is indeed part of Azael's family. J. T. is James Thompson Harris in the citation below. J. T. was the younger brother of my Joseph Perry Harris. I have not been able to make the connection ;yet, but feel that this (my) Harris line is connected to the Henderson and Thompson families. 3. Hi Jimmie and Ira. I'm still looking for Taylor Hallmark wife's maiden name. He married Eliza Jane (unknown). Taylor and Robert Hallmark were brothers, sons of Jesse Hallmark. Taylor was my gg-grandfather. Ira, I also have a Harris in my line. He was Thomas Harris b.c. 1795 in VA. He married Nancy Huff. Their daughter Susannah E. m. Robt. Mann. I believe this was when they lived in GA. Eventually the Mann family moved to Marion Co., AL. It might be possible that some of the Thomas Harris family came also. 3. Barbara, Wish I could help with Taylor's wife Eliza's maiden name, but I don't know who she was. I think that they are listed on the 1880 Independence County, Arkansas census.
