Karen, Good to hear from you. So others will know, Jesse Hallmark was a son of George Hallmark, Sr. who was living in Madison County Mississippi Territory by 1809 when he received a land patent. Jesse Hallmark married Mary Wright. Mary's father was Robert Wright who also received a land patent in Madison County, Mississippi Territory in 1809. The area where they lived is now Madison County, Alabama. See land patent records posted to Madison County, Alabama GenWeb. Both George Hallmark and Robert Wright served in the American Revolution from the state of Virginia. Lately whils searching the military records at Ancestry.com, I found that George Hallmark, Sr. is buried at Hobbs Cemetery, Huntsville, Alabama. (Huntsville is in Madison County) I found a listing of the names in this cemetery and George Hallmark's name was not among them. I would like to know if Hobbs Cemetery is on the property that George Hallmark once owned. Thanks for any help.
