Actually, I think that Rebecca Ann Brown (born 1850) and the William M Brown born in 1835 were first cousins. Rebecca was the daughter of William M. (born c 1817) and Rebecca (c. 1813). According to the 1850 census of Marion County, AL, the elder William M. Brown lived next to Robert Brown (born c. 1815) and his wife Martha. They had a 14 year old son named William M. Also liviing in the household was Robert's mother Mary, aged 59.
