    2. A few years ago when I visited the Hamilton Library, there was a booklet listing all of the cemetaries and the names of those buried. They even listed our family graveyard. This might help. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    2. I have been out of touch  since you sent your email. My James Coons had a son named james Coons Jr who supposedly was a minister.....Methodist so the story goes. Do you know anything about dates, etc? Any other family names? Supposedly a family member raised Jim Jr...most likely a cousin. His sister, Mattie Lou, was raised by a cousin, Rebecca Coons Reid/Reed. The older James Coons was a teacher......we are told. Does any of this ring a bell? 3. Hi Linda, sorry for jumping in on the message list. I have an Uncle Alfred Cantrell, m. Doni Cochran. They are buried at Hamilton, AL. Not sure which cemetery. Aunt Doni passed in 1986. I have forgotten when Uncle Alfred passed. Oh, how I wish someone could record the "Middle Church" cemetery just outside of Hackleburg. My dad, grandparents, LOTS of relatives are buried there. Probably most everyone in that cemetery is related to me. Thanks for all your help. Which includes names and directions to the cemetery noted. Let me know if you have problems finding the site, I will try and get the direct address for you. 2. Dear BamaGramma These are my relatives and where they are buried is my family graveyard. This land was given to the existing church and the old church members for the church and graveyard site. My Great-great Grandpa Palmer was the owner of this land and we still have the deed. Go out on Bexar Avenue East from Hamilton. When you see a grocerystore on the right and a road that turns right just before the store, turn on that road. Go until you see Cherry Hill Church and bear LEFT past the church. Go straight and you will see the church and graveyard at the end of that small road. -----Original Message----- From: BamaGramma@aol.com To: ALMARION-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, 1 Jun 2007 5:45 pm Subject: [ALMARION] Grave: Am looking for the graves of Morning Dove White Mansell and William Mansell. 2. I told you the wrong directions to the New Hope Cemetery that we visited a few days ago. From Hodges, Alabama, take State 187 toward Hamilton, turn right on Co. Hwy 20, don't stay on it as I said before, when you come to Co. Hwy 29, take that road, the cemetery is on 29, not 20, I'm sorry :-( It has an old cemetery and a newer cemetery. The sign that tells this is on the premises. I believe it says before 1900, then there is the newer, they are separated. The older is behind the church, you can't see it from the road. There is a small white church house, did not see a pond. Palmers and Nichols are buried there. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
